Rafa Nadal and Stan Wawrinka took time to have a little interview with the ATP Fedal Media Group. They seem both really motivated and confident for the upcoming Roland Garros Semifinal.

Stan said that he put a lot of work into the offseason-time to restore his body. So he meant to be on a high level in terms of his physics. Also Rafa do feel the same about his body and seemed really confident. They’re both looking forward to play the first night match in the history of Roland Garros this year. Stan has still some worries about his explosivity but seems to be in really good shape over all. They both see there chances to win on 50%, which is the same quote like the betting agencies calculate. So we can expect a really nice fight on friday night.

Mentally it seems that Stan has some advantages over Rafa because he won the last few meetings and Rafa struggled a bit to hold his nerves. On the other hand Rafa seems to be in perfect conditions in terms of fitness and power. At a physical point of view he is in a better position than Stan. Overall it seems really important for Rafa to get control over Stans power and technics and stock him into longer rallies. With every minute the match holds on the chances to win are bigger for Rafa. But Stan is a real powerhouse and full of suprises. So never write him of Rafa! In the end the guys have an amazing skill set and it seems to really hard to say who is taking the better end.
