He still can do it! Nadal climbs the throne of Montecarlo with a victory over Roger Federer 6:4 6:3. 

After almost a year and 13 tournaments, Rafa Nadal wins another Masters 1000 against his longtime rival Federer. And could it be any different than on the beloved dirt?

Federer and Nadal, both have been victims of the flu the past few days, showed a not always high-class match. Federer produced an unusual number of errors (21) and on the other hand hit 29 winners. Rafa himself got 24 errors but showed 51 winners. «Neither of us were on our highest level today. Roger still showed his best in the important moments, for example in the first set when he saved four set balls and then breked my serve the first time in the match. In terms of mental strengh it was a very difficult situation for me because in tn the past I often lost my concentration then. Today I was able to manage it very good.»
The season is now started for Rafa with the clay court season. Next stopp will be the Masters 1000 at Madrid.
